About Us
The Handweavers Guild of Lincoln (HWGL) is a 501c3 (non-profit) organization in Lincoln, Nebraska. Founded in 1947 by Mrs. C. L. Meek, HWGL is a group of individuals who share an interest in the art of hand-weaving, spinning, and other fiber arts. Our members frequently volunteer demonstrations of our craft for various events and groups in our community.
We have been a part of Homestead Days at the Homestead National Historic Park, as well as Living History at the Arbor Lodge State Historical Park.
You don’t need to be a historical society to request a demonstration, however. Reach out to us with your ideas, and we’ll see what we can do for you!
